DESCRIPTION AND RECOMMENDED USES: 100% solid, Dura-Coat Elastomer 920 is a high-elongation, hybrid epoxy-urethane system designed for the complete encapsulation of equipment of virtually any shape, size, or configuration. Applied with simple mechanical preparation—requiring no abrasive blasting, heat, hot-work permits, or specialized tools—its elastomeric properties form a tough, flexible, and durable protective barrier that excludes moisture, providing outstanding resistance to crevice, galvanic, and atmospheric corrosion.

Surface Preparation
Proper surface preparation is critical to the long-term performance of Dura-Coat Elastomer 920. The surface must be cleaned and decontaminated. Prepare with standard St2 or St3 mechanical cleaning.
Clean with solvents (acetone, xylene, alcohol or MEK) and a cloth. No need to apply primer, Dura-Coat Elastomer 920 is applied directly to metal or concrete.
Mixing
Thoroughly mix the Activator and Base with a mixing stick or with a low-speed blend. Mix by Weight: 8 part of the Base and 1 part of activator. Mix well to produce an even, smudge-free material. Never put solvents.
Application
Dura-Coat Elastomer 920 is applied with a brush.
To prevent run-off on vertical surfaces, the maximum recommended thickness per coat should be up to 0.5 mm (20 mils).
When used with a compatible release agent and corrosion inhibitor, Dura-Coat Elastomer 920 creates a peelable and resealable protection system.
