Application sheet

Surface Preparation: Proper surface preparation is crucial for the long-term performance of Dura-Coat Rubber-Flex 900S. The surface must be clean and roughened. Prepare by mechanically cleaning with a rotating wire brush. Clean with solvents (acetone, xylene, alcohol, or MEK) and a cloth. It is not necessary to apply primer; Dura-Coat Rubber-Flex 900S is applied directly to the rubber or metal.

Mixing: Mix the activator thoroughly into the base using the mixing rod, scraping the sides and bottom of the container. Mix by weight, 9 parts base to 1 part activator. Mix thoroughly to produce a uniform and streak-free material. Never add solvents.

Application: Dura-Coat Rubber-Flex 900S can be applied by squeegee, spatula, or caulking gun.
To prevent slipping on vertical surfaces, the maximum thickness per coat should be up to 12.7 mm (500 mils) per coat.

FDA Compliance: This product complies with FDA regulations, for direct food contact specifically FDA 21 CFR 175.300 and FDA 21 CFR 175.105.
